Sort by Total Views

Now the spreadsheet mode will show the # of views each home has. And you can sort by the # of views to see which homes have been seen by the most viewers.

What do you think about this? Should I keep it? Drop it? Replace it with # of saved listings?

  1. I like it. I also just had to say how much I've valued using this site. It's so far ahead of any other listing website. Thanks so much for the work you've put into it.

  2. I love this site! Is there also a way to sort by year?

  3. When you say number of views, do you mean number of views from FranklyMLS users? Number of views from any MLS listing website?

If it is from FranklyMLS users, does it keep track of original views (using cookies) or is it every time the listing gets clicked on?

  4. Only Franklymls and it is based on 24 hours unique I believe.

  5. As a prospective buyer, I am not in favor of it. I want to keep my views and favorites private, so as not to build up other people's interest in the house.

People are attracted to what other people are attracted to - social proof. Some one might see a house that I 'bookmarked', and become more curious about it - "oh some one likes this house, there may be something to this place".

Not a big deal, but I do have a small preference.

  6. Hey Jake, I hear you.

But this site is supposed to be as open as possible. People share photos of photoless bank listings, etc etc. People can sort by total views, but they can't sort by how many you have saved. But yes, each page does show the # of people that have saved it.

But again, I hear you and will consider it.
